  • What is Visions2030: Earth Edition, A Festival of Eco-Consciousness?
    Earth Edition is an immersive multi-node “exploratorium” of sensory environments, site-specific installations, and socially engaged programs. Taking place on CalArts’s 60-acre campus,the festival explores through an appeal to the imagination, sustainability, and positive futures — intended to delight and open visitors’ eyes to new possibilities.
  • When and where is Earth Edition?
    The festival takes place on September 15–24, 2023 at CalArts at 24700 McBean Pkwy, Valencia, CA 91355. The hours of operation are 11AM–10PM PT on Fridays and Saturdays; 11AM–7PM PT on Sundays–Thursdays.
  • Is Earth Edition an all ages event?
    Yes, the festival is for all ages. Take advantage of the special ticket offerings we provide for children and seniors!
  • Is Earth Edition accessible for all visitors?

  • How do I purchase tickets?

  • I purchased my tickets on Eventbrite. How will I receive my wristband?
    When arriving at CalArts, please check in at the Earth Edition Ticketing Booth. Please have your ticket confirmation QR code available for the check-in, and you will receive a wristband for access to the festival.
  • What happens in the event of a cancellation?
    If Earth Edition needs to be canceled due to unforeseen causes to the extent beyond our reasonable control and which occur despite all reasonable attempts to avoid, mitigate, or remedy, you will be notified via the email you used to reserve your ticket.
  • Will Earth Edition happen rain or shine?
    Earth Edition will be open rain or shine.
  • I can no longer attend Earth Edition. Can I get a refund?

  • How do I get to Earth Edition?
    The festival is hosted at the campus of CalArts at 24700 McBean Parkway Valencia, CA. The campus is 1/2-hour north of Downtown Los Angeles, adjacent to Interstate Highway 5 on McBean Parkway — approximately 40 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX); 21 miles from the Burbank Airport (BUR). In addition to ridesharing apps such as Lyft and Uber, there are direct shuttle services available through Prime Time Shuttle and Super Shuttle. These shuttles service both Burbank Airport and Los Angeles International Airport and are available by reservation, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The LAX Flyaway Service is a 24-hour bus service that operates between Los Angeles International Airport and L.A. Union Station, Van Nuys, Hollywood, and Westwood/UCLA. The Van Nuys route, which is located the closest to CalArts, at approximately 16 miles, does not accept cash, only credit card or bank card payment. If you are relying on local transportation: Buses Santa Clarita Transit services the Santa Clarita area, including Valencia, Newhall, Saugus, Canyon Country, and Sylmar. There are also express buses to the San Fernando Valley and into Los Angeles, with extra service during morning and afternoon rush hour service. For bus schedules, call 661-294-1287 or visit www.santaclaritatransit.com. MTA (Metro) services the Greater Los Angeles area and has routes throughout Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. Please note that MTA buses are accessed in the San Fernando Valley, either using the Santa Clarita Transit buses, the Metrolink train or car to get there. Commuter Rail Metrolink is Southern California's regional passenger rail system that serves more than 55 stations across the region, including Santa Clarita. The Newhall Metrolink station is the closest to the CalArts campus (approximately 3.2 miles away).
  • Is there parking at the festival, and how much is parking?
    Parking is available. Advance Parking is $10 per car per day if you purchased the Single Day Pass, and complimentary if you purchased PLUSPass. Parking passes can also be purchased on-site for $20.
  • How can I get water on-site? Will there be free water refills?
    Yes.
  • What are the food and drink options at Earth Edition?
    There will be exciting food and beverage offerings from various vendors for purchase at the festival, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
  • Can I bring my own food or drinks?
    Outside food and drinks are prohibited.
  • What forms of payment will vendors at the festival accept?
    Vendors at the festival, including food and beverage vendors and vendors at the EcoExpo, will accept [payment method debit cards/credit cards/cash].
  • Will there be shaded or cool-off areas?
    There will be a shaded area near the food and beverage vendors.
  • Can I bring a pet?
    No. Pets aren’t allowed at the festival. Service and emotional support animals are permitted.
  • What is the photo policy at Earth Edition?
    Photos are permitted and encouraged! We’d love it if you tag your photos #Visions2030 #EarthEdition when posting to social media.
